Coronavirus Awareness and Preparedness

Slater Gyms is committed to the health and safety of our members, team members and guests. We are closely monitoring the county health departments, as well as the WHO (World Health Organization) and IHRSA (International Health Racquet & Sports Clubs Association), for updates, resources and information on the 2020 coronavirus (COVID-19). Below are some of the measures we will be taking every day to help keep our club communities healthy, as well as some tips on what you as members can do to support your fellow gym goers.

Clean Environments, Proactive Communication

Combined with daily in-club cleanings, our procedures include team member in-club disinfectant cleanings to help diminish the spread of germs. Spray Bottles and cleaning solution are available in each club, and we encourage members to wipe down fitness equipment before and after their workouts.

Tips to Limit Exposure

As with any cold or flu, we recommend following these time-tested tips:

- Wash your hands frequently with soap or sanitizer for at least 20 seconds - Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands - Avoid close contact with people who are sick – and stay home if you’ve been exposed - Keep up your immunity with good sleep and exercise

If in Doubt, Wait It Out

If you have any concerns about exposure or experience signs of illness, please contact your doctor. It’s important for all of us to remain vigilant about our own health and wellness, and to be patient and thoughtful of our neighbors and those who are concerned by the coronavirus outbreak, cold, flu and other illnesses.
